Dr.Noureddine GABOUZE

Noureddine GABOUZE was born on 15 August 1956 in Algiers. He is a graduate of the “Ecole Nationale Polytechnique d’Alger” and holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University Pierre & Marie Curie, Paris VI (Jussieu) in 1988. His doctoral thesis was carried out at the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS Meudon - Bellevue - France). He is Research Director at the Center for Research in Semiconductor Technology for Energy (CRTSE) ex. UDTS since 2004. He held several positions of responsibility such as Head of Thin Films Surface and Interface Laboratory at CRTSE , President of the National Research Evaluation Council (CNE) and Director of CRTSE from 2014 to 2016. He is currently President of the National Council of the Thematic Research Agency in Science and Technology (ATRST). He also teaches at the Universities of Tlemcen and UMBB of Boumerdes in the area of surfaces and Interfaces. He received several awards and distinctions. Noureddine Gabouze is the winner of the National Prize for the Environment in June 2007, the 1st National Prize for the Valorization of Research in June 2009 and the Thomson Reuters Prize in Web Science (2010). He has more than 400 international publications and communications in the field of gas sensor, biosensor and porous silicon and several patents. He is a member of several learned councils and societies. Noureddine Gabouze published and edited several books and chapter and organized several international conferences, and he is also a referee in several scientific journals. He has managed during the last years 20 projects at national and international level. His current research interests include the fabrication and application of thin films metal oxide, porous silicon-based gas sensor, biosensor and batteries.
